Playescape - an urban swing set
A collective desire for joy, safety and empowerment has created a need for Playescape - an urban swing set. What are the ways we can feel present, calm and connected when we are alone in public space at any time of day?
Looking to transform the act of sitting whilst giving permission to play, Playescape will be located in Te Aro and will be made from construction waste and reusable materials. We hope to advocate for the enjoyment, freedom and connection to others that can be had in common space.
Video Projections by Kitty McIntyre-Hyatt are projected onto the swing structure that run from sunset to the early hours of the morning.
